Deborah Ann Harry was born in [[Jul 1]], 1945 in Miami, [[Florida]] but adopted by Richard Smith Harry and his wife Catherine Peters, who lived in Hawthorne, [[New Jersey]], and ran a gift shop. In 1963 Harry graduated from Hawthorne High, where she was voted Best Looking Senior.  In 1971, her adoptive parents moved to upstate New York.&lt;br /&gt;
