Susex'. - Vicecomes significavit per breve suum sigillatum quod cepit in manum domini regis die Martis proxima post festum sancte Trinitatis terciam partem tocius [totius] terre que fuit Hugonis de Mun Pincun in Hingedon', quam Henricus Biset et Isolda uxor ejus clamant in dotem ipsius Isolde versus Radulfum de Amundevill', pro ejus defectu. "I had a quick scan through the Pipe Rolls yesterday, and it would seem that Walter de Tateshale was entered in respect of his Leicestershire lands [ie because of his marriage to Isolda Pantulf] between 1197 and 1200. If correct, I wonder if this could be used to date their marriage to circa 1196?"

Villa de Aningedon' capiatur in manum domini regis, et dies etc. ; et Clementia summomeatur quod sit in octabis sancti Michaelis. (T.I.)

Sussex'. - Isolda Biset per atornatum suum petit versus Clemencium de Munpincun manerium de Hanigedon' cum pertinenciis ut dotem suam, unde Hugo quondam vir suus eam dotavit etc. ; et Clemencia dicit quod non debet ad hoc respondere, quia ipsa non habet totum manerium nec habuit die quo breve fuit impetratum ; immo medietas ei deforciatur, quam Herebertus de Merle tenet, qui non achevat ei nec de servicio nec de homagio ; et Isolda dicit quod die quo breve suum fuit impetratum tenuit ipsa integre totum manerium ; et inde ponit se super juratam patrie ; et Clemencia similiter. [Fiat] inde jurata : et veniat in crastino Animum. (T.I.)

Sussex'. - Isolda Biset per atornatum suum petit versus Herebertum de Merle medietatem tocius ville de Hanindon' cum pertinenciis, unde Hugo de Munpincun eam dotavit die qua eam desponsavit etc. ; et Herebertus non vult respondere sine waranto suo, scilicet Clemencia de Munpincun. Habeat eam a die Pasche in j. mensem per auxilium curie. (T.I.)

MAND' est Vicecomes Gloucester quod habere fac' Everard de la Beurere t'ram que fuit Isolde uxor Walteri de Baskervill' in Cumb' cum blad' presentis anni. Teste Regis apud Waling'. v die Sept. [5 Sep 1216] Note: Everard acquired the royal manor of Lower Slaughter in Gloucestershire from king John in 1200. (T.I.)

Isolda Biset per Robertum de Kernec attornatum suum optulit se quarto die versus Radulfum Tyrelle et Clemenciam uxorem eius de placito medietatis ville de Halingedona cum pert. quam ipsa clamat in dotem versus eos etc. Et terra capta fuit in manu Dom. Regis pro defectu quem Radulfus et Clemencia fecerunt in oct (20 Jan.) S. Hil., et vicecomes mandavit diem capcionis etc. et quod ipsi summoniti fuerunt quod essent a die Purificacionis in xv. dies (16 Feb. Monday in 1215.) etc. Et ad diem illum venit Radulfus et peciit terram per plevinam scil. die (16 Feb) Lune proxima ante Cathedram S. Petri, set Clemencia uxor eius non venit etc. et vicecomes testatus est quod terra capta fuit in manum Dom. Regis die (3 Feb.) Martis proxima post Purificacionem etc. Judicium ponitur in respectu usque in xv. dies post Pascha prece attornati Isolde et ipsius Radulfi, ita quod ad diem illum fiat judicium eodem modo quo ad hanc diem etc. Consideratum est quod Isolda recuperavit seisinam ut de dote per defaltam et Radulfus in misericordia. [Settled in Isolde's favour 29 Apr 1218.]

Tony then states "The insertions in Bracton are Maitlands apart from the last which is mine."
