'''Chateau Marmont''', a hotel in the Los Angeles area When [[Rock Hudson]] met his first live-in lover [[Kenneth G Hodge]] in 1947, Ken was living in the penthouse of the Chateau Marmont, "a building owned by his aunt Bernadette..." according to Rock's biographer. A few years later, in 1953/4 [[Shelley Winters]] mentions that director Nicholas "Nick" Ray has then a bungalow at the Chateau Marmont. He would later direct James Dean in ''[http://sites.google.com/site/movielegends/rebel-without-a-cause Rebel Without a Cause]'' (1955). In 1954 or 1955, [[James Dean]] hopped in through a window at the Chateau Marmont to audition with [http://sites.google.com/site/movielegends/natalie-wood Natalie Wood] for ''[http://sites.google.com/site/movielegends/rebel-without-a-cause Rebel Without a Cause]'' When [[Montgomery Clift]] was almost killed in 1956, [[Elizabeth Taylor]] brought him to the Chateau Marmont, where she leased the penthouse as a place for him to recuperate. John Belushi died of a drug overdose in one of the garden bungalows at the Chateau Marmont in 1982.
