Alvin Monroe Pitt, died on 4 Mar 1959 in Mobile County, [[Alabama]] and is buried there in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, the same cemetery his mother would be buried in fourteen years later.  His funeral notice appeared in the ''Mobile Register''.  His mother was the informant on his death certificate as "Mrs Rosa Spooner".
