Christopher John Dodd was born [[May 27]], 1944 in Willimantic, Windham County, [[Connecticut]], the son of Thomas Joseph Dodd and Grace Mary Murphy.  His father Tom was also a United States Senator from Connecticut. Chris Dodd graduated from Georgetown Prepatory School in Potomac, Maryland in 1962, from Providence College in Rhode Island in 1966, from the University of Louisville, Kentucky School of Law in 1972.  He was in the US Army from 1969 to 1975.  In July 1970 he married Susan Mooney, they divorced Oct 1982.  He is a US Senator from [[Connecticut]] first elected in 1981.  In June 1999, married Jackie Marie Clegg.  He lives in East Haddam when Congress is not in session.  He has two daughters: Grace (b 2002) and Christina Dodd (b 2005).
