*Gen-Medieval, Douglas Richardson posting on 10 Aug 2007 : "Alpheus and Avyette Richardson both died in San Jose, California, where they moved in order to put their children through college at the College of the Pacific (since renamed the University of Pacific and since relocated to Stockton, California).  All four of my grandparents were college graduates, two from the College of the Pacific, one from Stanford, and one from Mills.  Alpheus and Avyette were distantly related to each other, they both being descended from the Willard family of New England.  Alpheus Richardson's mother's name was Lucina Eno.  Her name was not Susannah, although her name is rendered as such once by the census taker as Joseph Cook has reported in a post."
