She was born Jan 1877 in Missouri, the eldest child of Allan Edward Evans and [[Catherine Aminta Trout]].

She married Viron Henry Ritchie about 1896 in Nevada, Vernon County, [[Missouri]].

She died 11 Jul 1963 in Salem, Marion County, [[Oregon]].

Although her obituary does not name her parents, it does name all her surviving sisters and brothers.  From that, she can be matched as the daughter "Ethlyn age 3" who appears in the 1880 census with her parents enumerated there as "A.E. age 29 b IL and C.E. age 24 b IA".  No other children appear in the household in 1880.

However in the 1900 census, the parents now enumerated as "Allen E age 49 and Catherine E age 44 b IA", list the siblings named in Ethlyn's obituary.  One of these siblings in 1900 is "Freddie b Jun 1893", and his birth certificate is online [http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/birthdeath/births.asp?id=122637 here] from which we learn his mother's maiden name.

#Ruth Marie Ritchie b abt 1914 in Oregon, married first to a Mr Denn and second to a Mr Ross.  In 1943 she lived in San Francisco, in 1963 she lived in Santa Maria, California and in 1999 she lived in Roseburg, Oregon.
#John A Ritchie born about Oct 1918 in Oregon.  In 1943 he was in the US Air Force at Altus, Oklahoma.  In 1963 he lived in Salem.  In 1999 he lived at Lincoln City, Oregon.
