On Apr 2, 1860 three Tackett brothers went to the land office in Helena to purchase land in Arkansas County. As "George L Tackett of Phillips County", he entered [http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/PatentSearch/Detail.asp?Accession=AR1760%5F%5F%2E377&Index=7&QryID=64266%2E45&DetailTab=2 160 acres by Cash Entry] at NW S33-T6S-R2W. He also enters 160 acres at NE S32-T6S-R2W, again by Cash Entry. However on this document he calls himself "George L Tackett of Arkansas County". These two pieces touch each other, forming a rectangle. As "Edmond P G Tackitt of Phillips County", his brother, entered 160 acres by Cash Entry, at SE S28-T6S-R2W. This document is marked Cancelled and has other writing across it that I can't make out. This land touches George's at the Southwest corner. As "Mount Etna Tackett of Phillips County", their brother, entered 80 acres by Cash Entry, at E1/2SW S21-T6S-R2W. This land sits a quarter-section above E P's land, but a year later in 1861, Mount Etna came back and bought that intermediate quater-section as well.
