She met Hugh Rodham in 1937 when she applied for a secretarial job at ~~a lace-making company. The sources aren't clear if~~ he ~~worked there, only calling him~~ a "traveling salesman~~", so he must either have worked for that same company, or been trying to sell them something~~. ~~At any rate it~~ wasn't until four or five years later that he and Dorothy married. They were subsequently to have three children.
