James Anderson (Hempstead)

James R. Anderson was born in Hempstead Co., AR.  He is listed on the 1850 and 1860 Hempstead Co., AR census with parents.  James Anderson (father) and Clorinda Reeves (mother) were married 10/28/1841 in Hempstead Co., AR and moved the family to Cass Co., TX shortly after the 1860 census as the father James Anderson died in Cass Co., in 1862 and the mother Clorinda in 1866.  James, sister Susan and brother Newton are listed on the 1870 Davis (Cass Co) Co., TX census in the Hinkle household.  Newton went to Little River Co., AR and married Mary Parker.  Newton died between 1885 and 1890.

James Anderson (father) states he was born in either Missouri or Mississippi.  Newton stated his father was born in Missouri on the 1880 Little River Co., AR census.
