Alexis C Foster was born ~~Apr 1868~~ in Tennessee. About 1897/8 he married Alice Fisher, a native of Illinois. They appear in the 1900 Census in Denver where Alexis is a "Merchant of Credit". Alexis became a banker and eventually, he and Alice moved to Ossining, New York in tony Westchester County, where they are listed in the 1930 census, with a house worth then $200,000. Since this was 1930, that house must have been effectively a palace. He is there listed as "Proprietor Investment Bank" and possibly this is the same "U S National Bank of Denver" that he listed as his address in 1925 while returning from England.

Alexis C Foster was born 25 Jul 1867, in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Turner J Foster. By 1895 he had moved to Denver, becoming the manager of the credit department of Daniels & Fisher; by 1902 he was cashier of the Daniels Bank. About 1897/8, possibly in Denver, he married Alice Fisher, a native of Illinois. They appear in the 1900 Census in Denver where Alexis is a "Merchant of Credit".
