John Eugene Chapman was born in Grandview, Spencer County, [[Indiana]].  On the 1930 census, he is living in Ouachita County, Arkansas and stated to be age 37. On 19 Apr 1930 in Camden, Ouachita County, Arkansas, he married (age 36) to Linnie Mae Magby who had been born 27 Nov 1911 in Bismarck, Hot Spring County, Arkansas.

Using [http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=localitydetails&subject=194542&subject_disp=Arkansas%2C+Grant&columns=*,0,0 "Grant", part of Arkansas] as a place-name search in the LDS Card Catalog we see that there are Land Indexes.  We can see that the deeds themself stop at Book P which ended in 1901, however the direct index to deeds is film #978959 until 1930, and then film #978960, while the reverse index to deeds is film #980025 until 1941 and then film #978958.  Evidently this county saw a fair amount of deed activity if the indexes take up several microfilm reels.
