While he was in law school he married Neilia Hunter, they had three children: Joseph R "Beau" Biden III, Robert Hunter Biden, and Amy Biden.  His wife and infant daughter died in a car accident in 1972/4.  In 1977 he married Jill Tracy Jacobs.  They had one daughter Ashley.
