Lambert's third son was Jean Hotman, Sieur de Balisy, born in Paris in 1479.  Treasurer to the Order of Malta.  Jean married Thomasine Le Lorraine and by this marriage had six known children.  The eldest son was Pierre Hotman, named for his uncle.  Pierre married Jeanne Marteau and had four known children.  One of these was Francois Hotman, Seigneur de Marfontaine, who married in 1574 Lucrece Grainger and had six children.  One child by this marriage was Marie Hotman who married Vincent Bouhier.  This line continues descending to the current Bulgarian, Belgium, and Spanish Royal families.
