'''Mary Lutyens''', (1908-1999), official biographer for Krishnamurti She was born Jul 31, 1908 in England, as the youngest child of Sir Edwin Lutyens, an architect and Lady Emily Lutyens, an author, and the daughter of Edward Robert Lytton, Viceroy of India and first Earl of Lytton. Her mother become a theosophist while Mary was an infant, and Mary was raise with Krishnamurti from the age of three. Mary fell in love with Krishna's brother Nitya and "...was much hurt when he seemed to ignore her." She studied at Queens College, London. She was married first to Anthony Sewell from 1930 to 1945, and then married J G "Joe" Links, an art historian, on Jun 22, 1945. They remained married until his death in 1997. From her first marriage she had a daughter Amanda who married John Pallant. She wrote her autobiography in 1959. From 1975 to 1988 she wrote a three-volume biography of Krishnamurti, and in 1990 she penned ''The Life and Death of Krishnamurti''. She wrote a biography of her father in 1980.
