Robert Barker, was born the son of Christoper Barker, printer to Queen Elizabeth.

Robert married first to Rachel Day daughter of William Day, then prevost of Eaton and dean of Windsor but later Bishop of Winchester for the last year of his life.

Robert and Rachel were married probably shortly before 1590 as their eldest known child was baptised in Jun of that year.  They had twelve children known, but not all of these survived infancy.  Their twelve children were all baptised at Datchet, co Buck (Batch C073232 wj):
