Bill Clinton was born posthumously, his father having died in a car accident on 17 May 1946 near Sikeston, Scott County, [[Missouri]]. His car overturned and he was either thrown from it, or crawled away only to die from drowning in a nearby drainage ditch.  Four years later on 19 Jun 1950, in Hot Springs, Hot Spring County, Arkansas, his mother Virginia married Roger "Dude" Clinton.
