Lasater was acquited of murder and Harriet, William's widow moved back to Tennessee with her children.  William died intestate and due to what I'm assuming to be Harriet's reluctance to administer and the minority of the heirs, Jesse Turner was called to be administrator "de bonis non" on the estate of William Whitson. The bond by Jesse Turner with Jesse Miller and Arthur Hicks was signed 17 Apr 1838.
