These links direct you to the associated pages for TurboTax 2010. I'm not yet certain that all the forms listed there were actually in all past versions of TurboTax or not.
TurboTax Basic does not include a State Tax Return preparation or download feature at all.
The others do.
Sorry I can't explain why the Premier download is more expensive than the CD. Doesn't make sense to me either, but there you go.
[Edit]
As can be seen by this comparison, the advantage of one of these products over the over, is not in what forms they do or don't contain, since all four contain all the same forms. So what exactly is the advantage of picking the more expensive version over the cheaper version? Evidently the more you pay, the more help the program gives you as you move along through the instructions. The more expensive programs give you more step-by-step guidance on various forms, while the less expensive ones, although including the forms, do not give you guidance on how to complete them.
Use Deluxe if you need to itemize. Use Premier if you have stocks and bonds, options, mutual funds, 401K, IRA or employee stock plans to consider, or if you have rental income. If you are self-employed use Home and Business. Again these selections are based on you wanting guidance and advice. If you don't, you can use Deluxe if you also want the free state return, or use Basic if you don't need the state return.
And I believe the more expensive ones give you more and more advice about what write offs you can take, and how, and all of that sort of thing. At any rate, the Amazon links above should explain all you need to know to make your final choice, and I believe they include links directly to Intuit as well, and probably a toll-free number.
