In a news update posted here, he blames his daughter : "I really don't want to get into this right now because as you can see my life's been made very difficult over this child," he said. "In my mind I have not done anything wrong other than discipline my child when she was caught stealing. I did lose my temper, I've apologized."
Evidently it was her fault that he decided to beat her with a belt while she screamed and sobbed. When he says above that she was "caught stealing" does he mean downloading music without the copyright holder's permission? Maybe someone should intervene the MPA to ask them whether beating children would be an effective way to stop the illegal downloading of music?
On another front, is he still overseeing judicial cases? It makes one wonder what sort of decisions he did or may hand down from his judicial bench, and whether any of them were related to father's using belts to beat their children. I wonder if there were any cases where a father was awarded custody of children so he could beat them privately without their mother being able to intervene. Someone should look into that.
